ICT Malaria Combo Cassette Test is a rapid, in vitro diagnostic test for the detection of circulating P. falciparum antigens (HRPII antigen) and an antigen that is common to all four species of malaria (aldolase antigen).
There are four types of human malaria:
- Plasmodium falciparum.
- Plasmodium vivax.
- Plasmodium malariae.
- Plasmodium ovale.
Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea may also occur. Malaria may cause anemia and jaundice (yellow coloring of the skin and eyes) because of the loss of red blood cells.
